Jama Masjid, Haldwani In India is one of the oldest and most important mosques in the city of Haldwani, Uttarakhand, India. This mosque was established before 1750 AD by a Muslim saint Pir Shah Karim. He was the son of a famous Sufi, Shah Mustafa Ali Shah Qadri, a descendant of the Sufi saint Hazrat Ali Shah. Jama Masjid, Haldwani has been an important pilgrimage destination for centuries. Its iconic Mughal-style architecture is very attractive and eye-catching. Jama Masjid, Haldwani is a religious structure located in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand State, India. The mosque has a traditional and modest architecture. The structure is of a simple rectangular design and its outer walls have two storey arches. The inner part of the mosque is ornately decorated with a lot of mirror-work. The mosque has a square hall and a central dome that is covered with shimmering golden tiles which are arranged in the traditional lotus motif. The main prayer hall is divided into two sections, one section is reserved for men and other is reserved for women. The mosque also has an attached courtyard that is enclosed by a wall made of limestone and joined by a gate. There is also a minaret which is adorned with five-shaped structures and serves as a call for prayer for the local Muslim community. The mosque also has four corner towers and a clock tower which completes the traditional architecture. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
