Brief History:
Adhai Din Ka Jhonpra is a mosque and archaeological site located in the city of Ajmer, Rajasthan, India. It was built in the year 1193 AD by Qutbuddin Aibak, founder of the Delhi Sultanate. The mosque is said to be the oldest surviving example of Indo-Islamic architecture in the country. The mosque is an important monument of Islamic architecture and was a major center of Islamic learning in its time. The mosque is noted for its unique blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture, and is thought to be an example of early Indo-Islamic architecture, which is very rare. It has a large hall with seven bays which are divided by four columns covered in brilliant calligraphy. The interior walls of the mosque are decorated with intricate floral designs, and the minarets of the mosque are adorned with verses from the Qur'an.
