Brief History:

Jama Masjid, Hisar In India is one of the most prominent religious destinations in Haryana state, India. While believed to have been constructed in the 11th century AD, Jama Masjid, Hisar In India has been renovated a few times since its establishment. It is an important pilgrimage site for Muslims in India and is known for its splendid architectural beauty. The mosque was constructed by the famous Mughal Emperors Akbar, Jahangir and Shahjahan. The majestic Jama Masjid, Hisar In India stands proudly with its two majestic minarets, one at each end of its grand courtyard. The central gate of the mosque features the inscription “Ya Allah” which means “O Lord!” in Arabic. Inside the mosque, there is a grand prayer hall lined by beautifully constructed arches and numerous white marble pillars. In the courtyard, there are ancient cannons that were believed to date back to the Mughal period. The Jama Masjid, Hisar In India attracts numerous pilgrims from all over India who come to offer their prayers and seek blessings. It is one of the most famous mosque in India which you must visit.

Architecture:

Jama Masjid in Hisar, India is a historical religious monument representing the Indo-Saracenic style of architecture. It was built in 1591 by Mughal Emperor Akbar. The mosque consists of three domes and four spires covering an area of about one acre. The central dome is the biggest followed by two slightly smaller ones and the four spires which are highly ornate. The prayer hall is arcaded with five arches and and is designed in an octagonal style. There are four doors in the mosque through which one can enter. The entrance of the mosque has fresh and elegant designs with intricate stonework. Inside the mosque there are elaborate carvings in the walls and ceilings of the mosque. There are two minarets in the mosque which are also elaborately carved. There are also several quaint turrets and an “Aram-Ghana”. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
