The mosque is a large structure with a capacity of 20,000 people and is one of the main places of worship in the city. The mosque has a 160-foot minaret constructed of gray granite with intricate floral designs inlaid in it. It also has a beautiful architecture with carved stone pillars and domes, colored glass windows and an exquisite interior with intricate floral designs and verses from the Quran. The Markazi Masjid, Hubli is located in northern India, in the state of Karnataka. It is a unique structure of Hindu-Islamic style, in terms of both architecture and decoration. Built-in 1918 CE, the Masjid stands solid with its unique arch, minarets and domes. The main entrance of the Masjid is a magnificent arched gate made of sandstone. It is designed in Rajasthani style with intricate stone lattice carvings. The main entrance is flanked by two towering minarets on both sides. These are decorated with small arches and corbellings along the lower half and elaborate floral jalis above. Each minaret reaches a height of 80 ft. The main prayer hall is made up of two domes. The central dome is much larger, with a diameter of 39 feet, while the smaller one has a diameter of 25 feet. The walls are covered with Islamic calligraphy. The interior of the prayer hall is built in the traditional Mughal style. The central dome is supported by 12 arches, while the smaller dome is supported by six. The arches bear intricate stone carvings of floral and geometric designs, and the walls bear Islamic calligraphy. The mosque is also decorated with several murals, which are painted in bright and vibrant colours. The mosque complex includes a large open courtyard and a few smaller structures. The courtyard is designed in Indo-Saracenic style and features several smaller domes with intricate carvings and paintings. There is also a small garden within the complex, with trees and shrubs, which adds to the serenity of the area. The entire mosque is surrounded by a high wall which makes it look even more imposing.
