: Adyar Ziyaul Uloom Madrasa Masjid, Chennai is an Islamic institution offering religious and educational services. The Madrasa is situated at the Adyar locality in Chennai, India. The Madrasa was founded in 1985 by M. Abdul Rashid Abdul Gaffoor, a scholar from Coimbatore. He brought with him the Jamiat al Azhar curriculum, and established the Madrasa with a focus on providing quality Islamic education in Tamil Nadu. The Madrasa provides classes in Quran recitation, ahadith and Islamic Law, providing an education in basic Islamic studies. The Madrasa is attended by students from across India and the world. The Madrasa also runs a radio station named Awliya Tamil Radio which broadcasts Islamic teachings, rendering services to Muslims globally. Architecture:

Adyar Ziyau Uloom Madrasa Masjid in Chennai is a unique example of a multifunctional mosque that combines a traditional masjid with a madrasa (Islamic school) and library. The complex also contains a gymnasium, a sports field and a youth activity center. The design of the building is based on traditional Islamic architecture, with an inner prayer hall dedicated to the sunnah (the customs of the Prophet Muhammad) surrounded by four smaller prayer halls and an open courtyard in the center. On the outer perimeter of the mosque, a library, classrooms, offices, and the madrasa are arranged in a ring around the open courtyard. The gymnasium and the sports field were added to the building as part of later enhancements. The mosque is constructed from carved granite and features five golden domes which rise above the complex. The entrance is topped by three archways and is flanked by minarets. The courtyard contains ornately carvings and is open to the public. The mosque is an ornate example of traditional Islamic architecture and a testament to the rich cultural heritage and religious practice in this part of India. The complex symbolizes the belief that Islam can be practiced in harmony with other cultures and religions. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.

Visiting Hours:

The Madrasa Masjid of Adyar Ziyaul Uloom is open for visitors from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm everyday. Please note, that visitors are only allowed to enter the Masjid when it is time for prayer. best mosque in the world.
