Burhagosain Than is an ancient temple complex situated in the Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh in India. Originally constructed by the Chalukyas, it is the only notable remnant of their rule in the area. Burhagosain Than This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
Burhagosain Than Complex is located within a compound surrounded by a large stone wall which bears multiple sculptures and inscriptions of Jain Tirthankaras. The complex also contains a Shiv temple, nine stone sculptures of Jain Tirthankaras in different postures. The principal deity of the temple is Adhadasaranu, the fourth incarnation of Lord Brahma.
