Overview:
Adinatha Basti is one of the oldest temples in India which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located in the Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh on the banks of River Ganges. The temple is believed to be constructed during the Gupta period, over 2000 years ago. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The temple stands on a land of eight acres and has several shrines with statues of Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, Vishnu, Hanuman and other gods and goddesses. It also has a special feature of “Kund”, where devotees can perform sacred rituals. You must visit one of these historical places in India on your India tour

Adinatha Basti has a unique feature of having 8 entrances from 8 directions. It is also popular among locals for its special temple fairs, which are held twice in a year.
