Manama Souq Mosque is one of the oldest mosques in Bahrain located in the city of Manama, near the traditional Manama Souq. It is a simple rectangular building of mud and stone built during the Safavid period (mid-16th century) with a single minaret. The exterior walls are also elaborately decorated, and are embellished with mosaics and colorful geometric patterns. The Manama Souq Mosque is located in the Manama Souq area of Bahrain. The mosque is open for visitors throughout the day, however the best time to visit is just after sunset when the locals come to pray. Visitors are welcome to observe the prayer sessions and explore the mosque during these times. The mosque’s opening hours are from 10:00am-7:00pm, on Sundays to Thursdays.
