Sahil Garden, located in the city of Baku, Azerbaijan, was built between 1891 and 1892 as the first public park in the city. The park features over 600 species of plants, including linden tree, plane tree, magnolia, tulip, and ornamental shrubs. The park includes a fountain, charming birdhouses, a bridge, as well as several benches and gazebos set among the trees. The centerpiece of the park is a Pavilion of Lights, built in the late 19th century. It consists of a series of steps leading to an ornate, three-level rotunda with a domed roof and decorative texts. The Pavilion of Lights was dismantled in the 1970s and rebuilt in its current location in 2011.
