The mosque has four main minarets, each of which has a special significance. The first minaret is a symbol of Allah’s ever watchful presence. The second minaret represents Mohammed and recalls the city’s rich Islamic culture. The third minaret stands for the past and highlights the offerings of previous generations. Finally, the fourth minaret stands for the future, and honors the efforts of those who will come after us. The mosque also features an open-air prayer area, a fountain, and a park. Architecture:

The Sabancı Central Mosque in Adana, Turkey, is one of the most impressive examples of modern Islamic architecture in the country. Designed by renowned Turkish architect Hasan Çalışlar, the domed-style mosque was completed and inaugurated in 1998. The mosque’s main features include its prominent dome, which stands 35 meters tall and is supported by 12 arches. The building’s walls are richly decorated with geometric and floral motifs, made up of colorful ceramic tiles imported from Iran and the traditional Iznik tiles from Turkey. The mosque also features a large violet-hued glass façade, which contrasts with the limestone walls and offers views of the city from the upper levels of the building. The mosque houses five traditional prayer halls and several other spaces dedicated to special religious ceremonies, as well as a library, classrooms and a dining area for visitors. Surrounding the building’s grounds, visitors can also find a large park, gardens and a pavilion located in front of the main facade.
