Brief History:

: Şakirin Mosque is a mosque in Istanbul, Turkey. It is located in the district of Beşiktaş, a short walk away from the Atatürk Olympic Stadium. The mosque was commissioned by the late Rahmi M. Koç (1926–2015), a major figure in Turkey's industrial, automotive, media, and energy sectors. The main architect of the mosque is Hüsrev Tayla, of Tabanlıoğlu Architects. The design for the mosque was inspired by the traditional Ottoman florid style. The mosque has four minarets and a large dome. There are also two levels of thin minarets, as well as one tall slender minaret. The Prayer Hall in Şakirin Mosque has a seating capacity of 900 people, while the Multipurpose Hall can accommodate up to 1800 people. The mosque was opened to the public in 2009 and has since become a popular attraction in Istanbul. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful mosques in the city. The Şakirin Mosque is located in Istanbul, Turkey, and was designed by the Turkish architect Hüsamettin Cindoruk. The mosque is constructed in a combination of neo-Ottoman and contemporary architectural styles, with an emphasis on Islamic and Ottoman traditions. The main dome of the mosque is 98.5 feet (30 meters) in diameter and reaches 59.7 feet (18.2 meters) in height. It also features four semi-domes that are set between 90-foot (27.4-meter)minarets, as well as four 55-foot (16.7-meter) minarets. The interior of the mosque features 21,400 square feet (1985 square meters) of Islamic art and geometric motifs along the walls. The mosque has been designed to allow natural light to enter from all sides, achieving a beautiful effect. The Şakirin Mosque also houses an art gallery within its walls, displaying various Islamic artifacts collected from all around the world. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.

The closest Metro line is the Line M4 Kadirga - Taşkışla, which stops at Kadirga Station. Bus routes 62AH, 62AK, 63AH, 63AK, and 72AH all have stops near the mosque.
