Brief History:

Muğdat Mosque, or Ulu Mosque, is a 17th century Ottoman style mosque located in Çankaya, Istanbul, Turkey. It is named after a renowned Ottoman Sufi saint, Muğdat-ı Fakir (Fakir Muğdat), who originally lived in a nearby cave in what is now Muğdat Park. The mosque complex, including a stone fountain, was built by architect Davud Aga in 1690 and was today's registered historical monument in 1982. The mosque features an octagonal plan and is adorned with a single minaret. The entrance is highlighted by two marble columns. Inside the mosque, the prayer hall and its walls are decorated with ornamental floral and geometric patterns. The elevated mihrab and the pulpit, decorated with stucco motifs, are particularly noteworthy. The decorations, consisting of baroque and Ottoman Iznik tiles, date back to the 18th and 19th century. The third storey of the mosque houses a library and a calligraphy room. It is one of the most famous mosque in Turkey which you must visit.

The Muğdat Mosque is an Ottoman-era mosque located in the city of Amasya in Turkey. Its construction date is unknown, but it is believed to have been built in the 16th century. The mosque is a one-bay, rectangular structure built of cut stone. It features a central dome resting on two semi-domes. The single entrance to the mosque is accessed via a wooden door decorated with baroque rosettes. Inside, the walls of the prayer hall are decorated with painted muqarnas. The mihrab niche is also decorated with rosettes and Arabesque tiles. The mosque has two minarets with domical roofed balconies. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.

Visiting Hours:

Muğdat Mosque in Turkey is open for visitors throughout the week and weekend from 8 am in the morning until 8 pm in the evening. The mosque is closed only during religious holidays and observation days. best mosque in the world.

Muğdat Mosque is located in Bursa, Turkey. The mosque is situated in the city center and is easily accessible by public transport. The closest bus stations are Dhimitrari Konak and Kent Meydani. The closest airport to the mosque is Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport which is 130 km away.
