Brief History:

: Kocatepe Mosque is located in Ankara, the capital of Turkey. The mosque was built in 1987 and is now one of the city's most iconic landmarks. It was commissioned by Prime Minister Turgut Özal in an attempt to restore traditional Ottoman-style architecture and culture in the city. The mosque was designed by architect Vedat Dalokay, who also designed the monument of Atatürk, which is located right outside the mosque. Kocatepe Mosque is the largest mosque in Ankara and the fourth largest in Turkey. The building stands 55 meters tall, with four minarets and two main domes. It can accommodate up to 8,000 worshipers at a time, making it a popular destination for tourist visits. The interior is decorated with colorful marbles and tiles and contains some of the most intricate Ottoman-style mosque decorations in the world.
