Brief History:

Built in the 16th century AD, Karaca Ahmet Pasha Mosque is a historic mosque situated in the Antalya province of Turkey. Built by the Ottoman governor, Karaca Ahmet Pasha, the mosque is known for its beautiful tiles and intricate carvings. The structure is made up of stone, lined with cut stone and decorated with several colored tiles. The entrance gate also has an impressive stone gateway with five gates. The main prayer hall of the mosque has a total of eight domes. One of the main attractions of this place include the two large mihrabs (velvet-covered place of prayer) and the ceiling with beautiful geometric patterns. There are also some other features of the mosque such as the marble minbar (pulpit) and a wooden sultan’s seat. It is one of the most famous mosque in Turkey which you must visit.

Architecture:

The Karaca Ahmet Pasha Mosque is located in the city of Antalya, Turkey. It was built in 1526 by the Ottoman architect, Lutfi Agha, during the reign of Karaca Ahmet Pasha. The mosque is built of cut stone in the traditional Ottoman style. The walls are adorned with calligraphic inscriptions and intricate carvings. The mosque has a single dome and a single minaret which stands over the entrance. The dome is supported by four half-domes and four corner columns. Inside, the mosque features a single prayer hall with a large mihrab and minbar. The interior is decorated with tiles, marble, and intricately carved stucco. The mosque also has two large courtyards and a small fountain. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
