Brief History:

Gazi Paşa Mosque is a 16th-century Ottoman mosque located in the city of Ankara, Turkey. It was built during the reign of Ottoman Sultan Bayezid II in the 1520s and is one of the oldest mosques in the city. It is well known for its three large domes, two minarets and its decorated interior walls. The mosque was heavily damaged in World War I and was renovated to its original state in the mid-1960s. The mosque is now a popular center of prayer and worship. It is one of the most famous mosque in Turkey which you must visit.

The Gazi Paşa Mosque (Gazi Paşa Camii in Turkish) is a mosque located in Kızılay, Ankara, Turkey. It was built by Ottoman Grand Vizier and Architect Gazi Paşa in 1772. The mosque is noted for its harmonious proportions and its Ottoman-Baroque style. The building is composed of two stories and a barrel vaulted ceiling with large windows. The portico is made up of five half domes, each supported by an arch. The interior is also decorated with frescos, and the walls bear the name of Allah in Arabic script. The Mosque also includes a Medrese, with a library, lecture hall and classrooms. It is also a popular site for weddings. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.

By Public Transportation: The nearest bus stop to Gazi Paşa Mosque is the one located at Etlik Cd. which is served by numerous city bus lines.
