The Al Mazunah West South Central Mosque In Oman, also known as the Omani Grand Mosque, was established in 1920 as part of the Sultanate of Muscat and Oman. The Al Mazunah West South Central Mosque is located in Muttrah, a district of the city of Muscat. It is the largest mosque in Oman, spreading over an area of 19,000 square meters. The Al Mazunah West South Central Mosque In Oman was built in the Andalusian style and has five floors with two minarets. The interior of the mosque can hold up to 50,000 worshippers at one time. The mosque also has a library, a Quranic school, and a hall for lectures and religious seminars. It was inaugurated on 1 June 2012 by Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said. The Al Mazunah West South Central Mosque is a large, two-story complex located in the district of Al Mazunah Free Zone in Oman. The mosque is the largest and most beautiful mosque in the area with its unique design consisting of traditional Islamic architecture. The overall design of the mosque features a vast size and an impressive façade made of simple concrete blocks. The central tall tower of the mosque has two minarets, each of which has three distinct levels, the tallest of which reaches a height of 43 meters. The main prayer hall of the Al Mazunah West South Central Mosque is the main attraction of this grand complex. The room, which measures 46 by 25 meters, has a large rectangular space with white marble flooring decorated with intricate floral shapes and motifs in the center. The room is surrounded by five rows of columns decorated in traditional Islamic style and supporting the ceiling featuring Islamic architectural patterns and calligraphy on wood. The eastern side of the mosque has a two-story entrance pavilion with a grand staircase leading into the main prayer hall. The interior of the Mosque has several beautiful domes and a Qibla wall featuring intricate decorations and floral designs. Inside the mosque, there is a separate prayer room for women. Outside the central mosque, there is a large garden surrounded by a wall with minarets and decorated with small trees, palm trees, and fountains. The garden also features an ablution facility and car park with ample spaces for cars.
