The Al Kharjiyah West Mosque in Oman is an example of the classical Omani architecture with its distinctive curved entrance doors, marble columns and traditional Islamic designs of geometric shapes. The mosque consists of two main buildings: the main prayer hall, which faces Mecca and is designed so that worshippers can face the direction of the holy city during prayer time, and the smaller Quran reading room.
