Brief History:
is located in the city of Muscat and is considered to be one of the oldest mosques in Oman. It was built during the reign of the Ya'ariba Sultanate and is believed to have been constructed in 1720 AD. The mosque is said to be the private mosque of the Ya'ariba royal family and is located between the royal palaces of Al Alam and Al Bustan. The mosque was renovated in 1994 and features an open courtyards surrounded by pillars and is adorned with decorative Islamic calligraphy. The dome of the mosque is double-layered and is decorated with intricate patterns. The interior of the mosque is elaborately decorated with beautiful Persian carpets and intricate wall hangings. It is one of the most famous mosque in Oman which you must visit.

The Al Salamah West South Mosque in Oman is built in a traditional Omani style with a white exterior and interior. The roof of the mosque is made of a white dome featuring traditional ornate carvings. There are two entrances to the mosque, one to the east and one to the west. The interior of the mosque is decorated with marble pillars and colorful mosaics. Inside the mosque, there is a main prayer hall, a small bookshop and the Masjid Matam. The mosque also has a library, a courtyard, and a cafeteria. There is also a separate area for female worshipers. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
