The mosque features a unique harim (sacred space) design with an arcade of 48 white marble columns, a wadi pool (which symbolizes the spiritual purification ritual of ablution) and a blanket of plaster over the minaret and the walls of the prayer area. The glass skylight allows light to cascade into the mosque's main prayer hall. The minbar and the mihrab are intricately carved marble and covered with molds containing Koranic verses. The wooden door of the mihrab is framed with Victorian designs, and a frescoe on the ceiling of the mihrab depicts a decorative theme. Externally, the mosque is dominated by a spectacular, five-story minaret, encircled by four interior mihrabs and four exterior mihrabs, as well as a larger, exterior minbar.
