Asy-Syuhada Mosque is a mosque located in Padang city, West Sumatra, Indonesia. The mosque was built in 1988 and is currently the biggest mosque in the entire city. It was named after Syuhada A. Rahman, one of the most renowned Islamic scholars in West Sumatra. The mosque is visited by thousands of locals and visitors all year round. Its massive prayer hall holds up to two thousand people and houses a giant library and a conference hall. Its sprawling compound holds recreational and sports facilities and classrooms for Islamic educational activities. It is one of the most famous mosque in Indonesia which you must visit.

Asy-Syuhada Mosque is a modern Indonesian mosque located in the city of Padang, on the island of Sumatra. The mosque is a two-story structure made of reinforced concrete, featuring a unique, minimalist design. The building has a main hall, minaret, prayer room, library, and administrative office. Its interior wall contains murals made of gypsum and other materials, depicting scenes from the Islamic religion. The exterior walls are adorned with decorative tiles featuring traditional geometric motifs. The mosque also contains an immense dome, which is the largest in Indonesia, soaring to a height of 40 meters. On the roof, a parking lot is provided for the visitors of the mosque. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
Visiting Hours:
Asy-Syuhada Mosque in Padang, Indonesia is open to visitors daily from 7:00am until 8:00pm. The mosque is closed from 1:00pm to 3:00pm for Friday Prayers. During the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, the mosque opens from 11:00am until 12:00am. best mosque in the world.
