Shahi Masjid, Jaipur is a mosque located in Jaipur, India, that was built in the early 1840s by Mughal ruler, Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. Designed in Indo-Saracenic style, it was built in honor of the Mughal Emperor Akbar, who is said to have ordered its construction. The architectural style of the Masjid is based on its namesake, the Shahi Masjid in Agra, and it is considered to be an important example of Muslim architecture in Jaipur. The mosque has three domes, five minarets, a courtyard, and a prayer hall with three large doors, and is enclosed by a wall. It is also said to have an extensive collection of Persian and Arabic inscriptions, which serve as a reminder of the Mughal period. It is one of the most famous mosque in India which you must visit.
