Brief History:

Jama Masjid, Kanpur, India, is one of the oldest mosques in the city and was built by Shaikh Farid, a follower of the great Sufi saint Hazrat Mian Mir of Lahore, in 1760. It was constructed on the site of an old Hindu temple which had been destroyed by Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. The mosque measures 205 feet in length and has two minarets. Inside the prayer hall, there are five arched doorways and three domes in the shape of a lotus. The mosque is decorated with intricate Mughal architecture and calligraphy. The mosque is a well-known landmark and a popular tourist attraction in Kanpur. It is one of the most famous mosque in India which you must visit.

The Jama Masjid in Kanpur is a large and impressive mosque located in the center of the city. The mosque was built in 1746 during the rule of Mughal Emperor Shah Alam II, and is an example of Mughal-style architecture. It has an impressive sandstone façade, with a large central dome, ornate minarets topped with domes, and four corner minarets. The mosque also features decorative Islamic calligraphy inscribed into its walls. Inside the mosque, a large prayer hall is present, with a raised platform for the leader of prayer. The prayer hall is connected to four wings, which house the various living areas of the mosque. An exterior courtyard surrounds the main prayer hall, and the mosque also contains a large water tank and a well. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
