: Jama Masjid, Kakinada was built by famous Nawab Agha Mohammad Abdur Pulla in 1805 in the memory of his deceased father. The structure is a reflection of the Nawab's love and devotion for his father. This mosque is one of the oldest structures in Kakinada and is a popular spot for pilgrims and tourists alike. The interior of the mosque showcases intricate carvings and beautiful art work in various shades of colour. Jama Masjid, Kakinada holds large congregations during the festivals of Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha and is one of the biggest mosques in the Eastern part of India. The Jama Masjid in Kakinada, India is a red brick mosque which displays a mix of Moghul, Hindu, and South Indian architectural styles. The mosque is made up of a two-storey main structure with a high central dome and three minars or turrets flanking each side. The walls are intricately decorated with intricate stucco and terra cotta work and its entrance is framed by two tall spires. Inside, the mosque has a large prayer hall that can accommodate a large gathering. The walls are adorned with verses from the Quran written in Arabic. The mosque also houses a large library, madrasa and a mausoleum. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
