Brief History:

Hazratbal Mosque is located on the western shore of Dal Lake in Srinagar, India. It is considered one of the most sacred Islamic shrines in Kashmir. It is believed to be the Shrine of Muhammad, the prophet of Islam. The mosque is also believed to house a relic of his hair, which is displayed on religious occasions like Eid. The mosque was built by Sultan ruler Sikandar Shah in the 15th century, and rebuilt after 1634. It was further reconstructed in 1776. It is the most important Islamic shrine in the Kashmir Valley and has been a centre of religious pilgrimage and activities since its founding. It is one of the most famous mosque in India which you must visit.

The Hazratbal Mosque is a revered shrine located in the city of Srinagar in India. It is one of the most important mosques in the region, and is located along the western shore of the Dal Lake. The mosque was constructed in the 17th century and is an important part of the Mughal architectural style. The mosque is made out of white marble, and consists of a central domed chamber with a porch supported by six carved arches. The main portion of the mosque consists of a pillared prayer hall with a central atrium, three mihrabs or prayer niches, and a mehrab room. The back facade of the mosque is devoted to a large prayer hall, which contains the remains of Prophet Muhammad's hair, considered a relic and closely guarded. The interior walls are also decorated with carved motifs, making the Hazratbal Mosque one of the most beautiful pieces of Mughal and Islamic architecture in India. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
