The Awali Mosque in Bahrain is a historic Shi'ite mosque located in the capital city of Manama. The mosque was built in 1918 and is one of the oldest mosques in the country. The mosque is constructed out of white coral stone and its architecture is inspired by the traditional Bahraini style, with a large central dome and four smaller domes located at the corners of the main structure. The mosque also features two minarets, with a covered porch that serves as the main entrance into the mosque. Inside the mosque, the spiritual space is split into a large central hall with a mihrab which is where the Imam stands to lead prayers and a prayer hall. The mosque is beautifully decorated with intricate marble and stone work, and colorful paintings and decorations throughout. Visiting Hours:

TheAwali Mosque in Bahrain is open to the public seven days a week from 7.30 am to 12.00 pm in the morning prayer time, and 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm in the afternoon prayer time. Non-Muslims are also welcome but must be accompanied by an authorized guide. Women are requested to dress modestly, and cover their heads and arms with clothing.
