The Al-Jasra Mosque is a modern mosque located in Bahrain’s Jazira Al-Jasra district. The mosque was designed by Architect Khalid Al Noaimi, who was one of the first architects ever to receive an international design award from the Bahraini Government. The building’s overall shape and design is an ode to its Islamic faith, with its bright white façade and traditional detailing. Intricately decorated with calligraphy, metal inlay and intricate patterns, the mosque is a sight to behold. The building follows a traditionally Islamic axial or courtyard plan, which creates a central point for worship and has a covered prayer hall on one side and a spacious courtyard on the other.
