Brief History:
Al Jasra Mosque in Bahrain is a traditional Islamic prayer hall located off Juffair Road near Manama City. It is one of the oldest mosques in the country and is believed to have been founded in 1668 by historian Shaikh Muhammad bin Suleiman al-Jasra. The mosque contains traditional Islamic elements such as a mihrab, minbar, two minarets, and a qibla. It also includes an open courtyard, separate prayer rooms, a majlis for Quranic studies, and a spacious tiled prayer hall. As a historical landmark, this mosque is highly appreciated by the people of Bahrain and is visited by many visitors to Bahrain, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan. Architecture:
The architecture of Al Jasra Mosque in Bahrain is mostly influenced by the traditional Islamic architecture of the region. It is a multi-domed mosque with a large central dome and four smaller domes located around the perimeter. The mosque features intricate decorative Islamic motifs on its exterior, as well as four majestic minarets standing atop the corners of the building. The interior of the mosque has a traditional Islamic prayer hall with a vaulted ceiling, an ornate mihrab, and a minbar. The exterior features a series of impressive half domes and a courtyard with benches and water fountains. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
