The Al-Khamis Mosque is an Islamic place of worship located in the town of Riffa, Bahrain. The mosque was built in the 12th century by Sheikh Ahmed bin Abdulla bin Khamis during the Usfurid period. The mosque features a unique, square-shaped design with four protruding minarets in the corners, and it is also the oldest surviving Islamic mosque in the country. Inside the mosque, visitors will find several traditional Islamic features such as a mihrab (niche), qiblah wall (direction), minbar (pulpit), sahn (courtyard), and 13 domes.
