Brief History:
Al Wadi Mosque, located in Manama, Bahrain, is an historic Islamic site that dates back to the 17th century. It was built by the Portuguese, possibly as an extension of their nearby fort, and later expanded by the local Bahrainis. It houses the oldest mosque in the country and is one of the oldest examples of Islamic architecture in the region. The mosque is also known for its beautiful ornamental details, including its exquisite minarets and intricate stucco decoration. The site has undergone extensive renovations in recent years, and today serves as a place of worship for the local Shia community. It is one of the most famous mosque in Bahrain which you must visit.
Architecture:
The Al Wadi Mosque is a religious edifice located in the City of Muharraq, Bahrain. It is one of the largest mosques in the country and is considered to be a cultural symbol of the island nation. The mosque is a blend of Islamic and Bahraini architecture, with its prayer hall being constructed in a traditional Arabian style. The structure is made up of a large central hall with minarets on either side and a mihrab at the front. The mosque also has a courtyard with a large fountain and a garden. The mosque is built from limestone blocks with accents made from red and white marble. The roof of the mosque is constructed out of a traditional Bahraini style, with flat tiles and a patterned design. Inside the mosque, there is a carpeted area at the front, with doors leading to the prayer hall. The walls of the prayer hall are decorated with intricate arabesque design. The hall is illuminated by large chandeliers, and lush tapestries add to the grandeur of the mosque. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.

The visiting hours are as follows: Friday: 7:30 am–2:00 pm, 4:00 pm–7:15 pm Saturday–Thursday: 8:00 am–12:00 pm, 4:00 pm–7:30 pm Prayer times for the mosque are: Fajr (Morning): 5:15 am Dhuhr (Midday): 12:30 pm Asr (Afternoon): 4:00 pm Maghrib (Dusk): 7:15 pm Isha (Night): 8:00 pm best mosque in the world.

Al Wadi Mosque is located in Tubli, Bahrain. It is also known as the Sheikh Mohammad bin Essa Al Khalifa Mosque. The mosque was designed by architect Farooq Al Saie and it is one of the biggest mosques in Bahrain. It boasts a large dome decorated with verses from the Holy Qur’an and a towering minaret. The mosque offers daily prayers as well as weekly lectures and other educational activities. It is open to visitors of all faiths who wish to learn more about Islam and Bahraini culture. Guided tours of the mosque are available on request. Accessing the mosque by car is easy due to its excellent location and ample parking.
