Brief History:
Al Zallaq Mosque is the largest mosque in Bahrain. It is located in the village of Zallaq, near Manama. The mosque was constructed in 1975 and is built in the traditional style of local mosques. It is the only mosque in Bahrain with a proper dome. The interior is covered with marble and decorated with Islamic geometric designs, while the outside is decorated with traditional Arabic calligraphy. The mosque is used for daily prayer services and special events. It is one of the most famous mosque in Bahrain which you must visit.

The architecture of Al Zallaq Mosque in Bahrain is an example of a contemporary interpretation of traditional Islamic architecture. The mosque was designed by renowned architect, Yousef A. Al-Amer, and is located in the northern part of Bahrain. The mosque embodies traditional Islamic architecture with its simple dome-like shape, a single minaret, and a surrounding court. The walls are decorated with vibrant Islamic geometric patterns, tiles, and artwork. The interior of the dome is filled with an intricate display of arabesque patterns that enhance the dome's shape and create a unique atmosphere inside. The mosque also features a large open-air area for prayer. The entire mosque is located on an elevated platform, giving it an impressive presence and a feeling of grandeur in the landscape.
