Al Maksha Mosque is located in Muharraq, Bahrain and is one of the oldest buildings in Bahrain. It is believed to have been first built in the 16th century. The Al Maksha Mosque in Bahrain is a traditional island mosque from the 19th century, and is located in the city of Muharraq. It is constructed in a traditional Islamic style and features a rectangular design inspired by the traditional four-iwan (or 'courtyard') pattern of mosque construction. The mosque has an open courtyard and a four-bay prayer hall with a central qibla wall. The walls were constructed using blocks of coral and hand-carved gypsum, while the ceiling is made of painted, interlocking wood. The tilework on the roof of the mosque is made from glazed ceramics with intricate patterns. Inside the mosque, there are some small side rooms for worshippers, and the mihrab is located at the central qibla wall, facing Mecca. The minaret of the Al Maksha Mosque is constructed in a height of more than 40 metres and comprises two main levels. There are several entrances to the mosque and the interior features traditional Islamic artwork and calligraphy. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.

Al Maksha Mosque is open to visitors from Monday to Sunday, between 8.00 am and 11.00 am. On Fridays, Al Maksha Mosque's visiting hours are between 9.00 am and 11.00 am. Outside of these hours, no one is allowed to enter the mosque. best mosque in the world.
