It is managed by an executive board and supported by the Islamic Affairs Ministry, Royal Charity Organisation and the Bahraini government. Ahmed Al Fateh Islamic Center provides numerous services such as educational classes, counselling, and spiritual programs for both adults and children. The center also sponsors various cultural and educational activities such as seminars, conferences and courses. Architecture:
Ahmed Al Fateh Islamic Center in Bahrain is a modern, iconic mosque and cultural center located in the Juffair district of Manama. Designed by architects RTKL and opened in 2019, the Islamic Center draws its inspiration from the traditional Islamic architectural style. The mosque is characterized by a grand structure consisting of a centre lattice dome, golden geometric shapes, and a decorated ornamental minaret. The mosque also features Islamic calligraphy, stained glass window panels, Muhallabieh-style domes, and intricate geometric shapes which blend traditional Islamic elements with contemporary design. Inside, the building boasts a large main prayer hall with a capacity of 1,500 people. Colourful mosaics, stained glass, and complex arrangements of Mashrabiya niches line the hallways, while a large chandelier made of 470,000 pieces of Swarovski crystal hangs in the centre. The mosque also includes a traditional UAE-style courtyard, educational and cultural spaces, and various other facilities. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
