Brief History:
is a Mosque located in the Juffair district of Manama, Bahrain. The Mosque was constructed in 1968 and then reconstructed in 2000 and is managed by the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs. It is one of the largest mosques in the country and is known for its spectacular ocean views. The Mosque has several amenities such as a prayer hall, a library, a computer and conference room, a lecture hall and a cafeteria. It is one of the most famous mosque in Bahrain which you must visit.
Architecture:
The Juffair Mosque is located in the Juffair district of Manama, Bahrain, and is one of the oldest mosques in Bahrain. The mosque's architecture reflects several Islamic design features including a single large dome at the center and four minarets at the corners of the building, each with small balconies and curved arches that reach up to the dome. The interior of the mosque features a central prayer hall, shaped like a square, with a courtyard in the middle. The walls of the courtyard feature intricately designed carvings and arabesque designs, while the domes feature Islamic motifs and geometric patterns that are quite typical of Persian architecture. The exterior of the mosque features an arched entryway on the south side which leads into the courtyard. The exterior is characterized by its white-and-blue-tiled limestone walls. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
Visiting Hours:
The Juffair Mosque is open from 6am until 10pm for all visitors and worshipers. However, during the hours of prayer, visitors must remain outside the mosque, and not enter, in order to respect those inside performing their prayers. best mosque in the world.
