Brief History:

:The Seyyid Nizam Mosque is located in the city of Gaziantep, southeast of Turkey. The mosque was built in the 15th century by the Ottoman Sultan Mehmet II, then known as Mehmed the Conqueror. The mosque is named after Seyyid Nizam of Azerbaycan who was a saint from the 16th century. Seyyid Nizam lived in this area and prayed in the mosque. The mosque is an example of an Ottoman style architectural marvel. Its interiors are adorned by ornate motifs and striking calligraphy of verses from the Quran. The main entrance to the mosque is surrounded by six domes. The mihrab is an ornate stone sculpture carved from foliage and the stucco walls of the still well-preserved interior are decorated with intricate floral patterns.
