Followed by a libation and full prostrations to the Lord and later perform an aarthi or wave a flaming lamp around the sanctum sanctorum. During the puja, songs and chants in praise Lord Muruga are sung by the groups present at the temple. Prayers are offered in the form of mantras and slokas as well.
