Worship Method:

The worship method of Agneeswarar Temple in Thirumalavadi, Tamil Nadu is based on the traditional Agama worship. Devotees begin their worship at the entrance gate, where they chant hymns and offer flowers and incense to the deity. After this, they proceed to the inner sanctum, where they pay their respects through offering of flowers, jasmine garlands, aarthi and the traditional pradakshinam (circumambulation). After this, devotees can offer personal services like making a small shiva lingam (stabilized clay image of Lord Shiva), conducting a puja, offering their favourite grains and flowers, and presenting a kalasam (sacred vessel made of bell metal) with coconut, milk and honey.
