The mosque is built in a traditional style with a prayer hall, qibla (direction of prayer) wall, minaret and mihrab (niche). It is built in a mix of local stone, wood and tile. The walls are lined with intricately carved stonework, while the doors and windows are decorated with intricate designs. The roof is covered with panels of metal and glass. The main prayer hall is covered with a spectacular cupola. The floor of the hall is marbled and decorated with intricate, colorful designs. Al Qadah Mosque is located in the Seeb area of Muscat, Oman. It can be reached by taxi in approximately 20 minutes from the airport. The closest bus stop is main bus station Al Furja located 4 km away from the mosque, from the bus station take a short taxi ride to the mosque. The mosque is open to visitors every day from 6:00am to 15:00pm except Fridays when only Muslims are allowed. Visitors are asked to dress modestly in loose fitting clothing.
