Al Qabil East Mosque is located in Al-Qabil District in Muscat, the capital of Oman. It is one of the oldest mosques in Oman and dates back to the 18th century. It was built by Sultan bin Ahmad of the Al Bu Sa'idi dynasty in 1719. The mosque has two minarets and a mihrab, a feature that distinguishes it from all other mosques in the region. Architecture:

Inside the courtyard, the main prayer hall is surrounded by smaller spaces for reserving, ablutions, and teaching. The prayer hall itself is composed of five domed open bays with a central mihrab. The mihrab is adorned with a star-shaped marble inlay, which is surrounded by a pattern of stars and floral motifs. The walls of the prayer hall are decorated with small pointed arches which are topped with colorful glazed tiles. The mosque is also adorned with a minaret that stands above the courtyard.
