Brief History:
is a mosque located in Nizwa, in the Ada region and is one of the earliest mosques in Oman. Built in 1610, this majestic building was built by the Ibadi of Oman and has served as the major religious site in Nizwa for centuries. The mosque is a two-storey building, with a prayer hall in the lower story and a large flat-roofed space in the upper story. The grand hall of prayer has five domed roofs, the dome of which is an impressive 25 metres high. The mosque's prayer hall is adorned with beautiful calligraphy carved upon its walls and ornamentation which reflect the traditional Islamic art and architecture. The mosque is known for its tranquil atmosphere and provides a place of spiritual refuge and contemplation for its worshippers. It is one of the most famous mosque in Oman which you must visit.

The exterior of the mosque is decorated with blue and white tiles and is adorned with intricate carvings. The mosque is one of the most impressive examples of traditional Omani architecture, featuring a unique combination of Islamic, Persian, and Ottoman architectural styles.
