Al Awabi South Mosque is one of the oldest mosques in Oman. It is located in the Dhofar region and dates back to the 17th century. It was built by Sultan Said bin Sultan Al Busaidi, in order to honor the Al Busaidi dynasty that ruled Oman. The mosque was renovated and expanded in the 19th century by Sultan Said bin Sultan Al Busaidi. The complex consists of the main mosque, a courtyard, shrines, a minaret, and a graveyard. Al Awabi South Mosque is a designated heritage site and attracts many visitors each year. It is one of the most famous mosque in Oman which you must visit.

The Al Awabi South Mosque in Oman is an example of traditional Islamic architecture. The mosque features large domes, minarets, and a central courtyard.
