History:
The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary was founded by the first Temporary Administrator, Father William J. Nally and his assistant, Father John McMahon in 1926. The first building was constructed in 1928 and it was replaced with a new, larger building in 1952, which still stands today. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Malta.
