: Masjid Raya Surya Kencana - Bogor is the largest mosque in Bogor city, West Java, Indonesia. It was built in the 1990s under the initiative of the Vice Governor of West Java, Syarif Hidayatullah. The mosque's architect was the late M. Ihsan from Bandung. It is located in the heart of Bogor city, on Jl. Paledang Raya, and is surrounded by the Meruyung Stadium and many edifices. The main prayer hall is a single rectangular hall with five semi-circular domes, resembling those used on mosque in Mecca. The hall opens up to the courtyard with two grand gates on either side. The courtyard is a large open-air area decorated with stone tiles and adorned with sculptures of Islamic symbols depicting peace, beauty, and harmony.
