Baitul A’la Mosque or Masjid Baitul A'la is a beautiful mosque located in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. It is considered one of the oldest mosques in the city, and one of the most important Islamic landmarks in Indonesia. The mosque was established in 1840 by Syaikh Abdurrahman bin Abdul Kadir, who was a great religious figure in the local community. The mosque was named after a well-known book written by Abdul Aziz bindullah Al-Baqabaili, also known as "Baitul A'la". The mosque is equipped with a big floor, which was designed to accommodate hundreds of worshippers during the Friday prayer. The two minarets of the mosque give the building a strong Caliph-style construction. Architecture:

Baitul A'la Mosque, also known as Surabaya Central Mosque, was first built in 1962 and has become an icon of the city of Surabaya. The main structure of the mosque consists of a three-story building with four large towers rising up from the corners. The top of each tower is crowned with a crescent and star. The main prayer hall is large enough to accommodate up to 6,000 worshipers. The interior of the mosque is decorated with Arabic script and brightly colored frescoes. Other rooms in the mosque include classrooms, a library, a rally hall and three main musalla (prayer) halls, each with its own ablution area. The exterior of the mosque is decorated with fountains, skylights, trees, and a large courtyard. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
