It was built in the 14th century by Sultan Ghiyas-ud-din Tughlaq to commemorate the death of his son, Mohammed Tughlaqabadshah. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
This monument is one of the largest in India with its impressive 40-metre high walls and two huge gateways. The main walls of the tomb are made of red sandstone and are beautiful adorned with large floral motifs. The central chamber is decorated with blue and green tiles.
