Overview:
Shahi Pul is a historical bridge which is located between Puran Ghati and Sadhoo Ghati in Delhi, India. It was built by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in 1632 as a part of his plan for the development of the city of Delhi. It is built on the Yamuna River and it is said to be one of the most beautiful bridges in the world. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
Shahi Pul is considered to be one of the most beautiful bridges in the world. The bridge is supported by double-storeyed arcades and twelve granite piers adorned with white-marble pieces. It features a three-arched construction with a central arch larger than the other two. It is also decorated with a number of ornate carvings and intricate inlay work, making it an architectural marvel. You must visit one of these historical places in India on your India tour
