Overview:
anatha Basadi is a Jain temple located in Dharmasthala, Karnataka, India. It is dedicated to the respected 24th Tirthankara Parshwanatha, of Jainism. The temple is surrounded by a wall and consists of several interconnected shrines. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The most prominent feature of the temple is a thin silver umbrella that is situated over the entrance door of the temple. This umbrella is made from one continuous piece of silver and is approximately 8 feet tall. The temple also features a granite statue of Lord Parshwanatha as the main deity. The idol is about 8 feet tall and is seated in a Padmasana pose. You must visit one of these historical places in India on your India tour
