Jama Masjid is a historical mosque in Siliguri, India. Built in 1885 by Nawabzada Syed Ali Reza Khan Sahib, the mosque serves as a significant religious landmark for the Muslim community living in North Bengal. Jama Masjid also holds significant importance in the cultural history of Siliguri as it was the first ever mosque to be built in the city, making it the oldest surviving monument in the area. The mosque houses a main prayer hall, a courtyard, a wall-climbing space for the devoted, a small storeroom, and an entry gate. The walls of the mosque were splendidly decorated with intricate designs constructed with lime mortar. The roof is supported by wooden beams and crowned with beautiful domes. The mosque is now a protected monument under the Archeological Survey of India. Each year, numerous visitors visit the spiritual mosque to pay homage and offer their prayers.
