The Tomb of Mubarak Saiyyad is located in Aurangabad, in the state of Maharashtra, India. It is a 15th century tomb which dates from the Bahmani Sultanate period. The architecture of the tomb is of the Indo-Islamic design, making it a great example of Indo-Muslim architecture. The tomb stands in an octagonal shape and is made of red stone. It is said to be a memorial to a nobleman of the Bahmani Sultanate. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The Tomb of Mubarak Saiyyad is an impressive structure and is filled with intricate carvings and decorations. The main structure is surrounded by beautiful stonework, while the chamber inside the tomb is decorated by Islamic-influenced geometric patterns and carved inscriptions. These inscriptions are written using the Persian language and the Kufic script. The entrance is adorned with two minarets, making the whole monument more impressive.
