ia Fort and Khurd: Banarsia Fort and Khurd are located just outside the city of Rampura in Talwandi Chaudhrian, Punjab. The fort was built by Samma Rajputs in the 17th century and it is one of the oldest fortified structures in the region. The fort is a structure more than 400 years old and is constructed of red sandstone with high walls and several towers. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.

History:

The most noticeable features of the fort are its imposing gateways which include two tall carved gates (toured gates). Inside the gates one can find a grand palace inside the fortified walls. This is an old fort complex consisting of two parts, the Badi Haveli or Big Palace, and the Chhoti Haveli or Small Palace. The two sections are connected by a wall, and the top of the wall is decorated with intricate designs.
