Badi Masjid in Aurangabad is a large mosque that was constructed in 1695 by Malik Ambar, a Nizam of the Ahmednagar Sultanate. It is a massive structure, with two wide entrances on the north and south sides, and many smaller entrances on the eastern and western walls. The mosque is surrounded by a courtyard and a large water-tank. The walls of the mosque are adorned with blue and white stucco designs, with a large dome on the northern side, and two smaller domes on the southern and eastern sides. The interior of the mosque is filled with arches and columns which help to support the roof and the many domes, and is decorated with Quranic inscriptions and calligraphic designs.
